REVIEW: MAC PEACHES BLUSH

Hello my beauty reader,

Today i want to post a review about one of my favorite blush, it’s MAC Peaches blush, I think this one is my first Mac blush. I picked it up because i think the color is flattering my skin tone when in tried it in the counter. This blush has been in my collection for 1 year and still beautiful as ever and i even haven’t hit the pan.

 

Ps: all this photos below i took around 2 months ago and just have the mood to write this afternoon. Gotta be make a writting schedule, maybe… 😐

As you can see in the pan, it’s a pure peach color, with a sheertone finish, so for medium to dark skin tone you don’t need to be afraid whether you will put too much the color to your skin, unless you go over and over with your blush. Yes! it’s very buildable and easy to blend, that’s why i like it and it’s very subtle. I only need 3 light swipes for the color to be appeared on my skin. But i think Peaches is less pigmented than Melba which also has peach color in it.

 

For me it’s a natural peach glow that will flatter all skin tones and very beautiful if you wear it in daytime. But.. of course you can use it anytime you want.

 

The blush itself last about 4-5 hours for me, i’m working in a room with air conditioner, so i think if you work outside it will last less than that and i think it depends on your skin types too.

To sums up:

HITS:

• It’s easy to  apply and to blend
• It’s very buildable
• Look beautiful for all skin tones
• It’s a matte with sheer tone finish, doesn’t have glitters, shimmer, or blings.
• It has nice pigmentation
• Good for daytime blush or summer time
• Of course, you like peach color
• Massive amount for me on the pan
• Sstt: i like to use it as an eyeshadow too. ^^

 

MISSES:

• Kinda expensive (I bought it for Rp. 300.ooo,-) – around 1 year ago
• The longevity is so-so for me, i wish it would last up to 8 hours

 

MARKS: 7/10

 

Will i repurchase?

Maybe.

Will i recommend to friends?

Yes, of course. It’s beautiful color after all.

 

If you have the budget and look for a nice peach blush, go for it. I think it’s worth to buy.

HOW TO FIX YOUR BROKEN BLUSH/EYESHADOW

Beep… beep..

Hello beauty lovers,

I don’t know why i chose “beep” as my first word today. Random words sometimes appeared in my mind. So, please just don’t argue with that. How’s your long holiday? In Indonesia we had long holiday in early year of 2016. I hope it was great and fun. Me…?

I had a great holiday at home. Hahahaha… just having my me time this year. so many things need to be re-evaluated in my life. So… yeah, basically just talked to myself about what happened past years and what i want to do in next few years, although i don’t know whether i’ll achieve that or not. But.. let’s just hope, right?

I don’t want to rambling too much about my personal life today, so.. let me start to our main menu today, which is how to fix your broken blush and eyeshadow. So… I have this broken frat boy blush. I think i broke that around 4 months ago or more , maybe 6 months. But i just kept it in my drawer not fixing that right away, even though i know how to fix it. Because i want to post it in my blog, and that means… taking pictures while you know… i’m the moody type person.

 

 

Now… prepare thing that are needed:

1. Alcohol 70%
2. White Paper (or you can use any color you like, i prefer white)
3. Little spoon.
4. The blush/eyeshadow
5. The pans where you want to re-create your blush/eyeshadow.
6. Wet tissue

 

STUFFS NEEDED

 

For, no. 5, i use the original pan for fratboy, but i cleaned that first with wet tissue, so it doesn’t look too messy.  Now… move to the steps:

 

PUT ALL THE BROKEN BLUSH ON THE PAPER (EVERY PIECES) AND SMASH THAT WITH THE SPOON YOU PREPARED

 

PUT THE BLUSH BACK ON THE PAN (FLAT THE BLUSH WITH YOUR FINGER)

 

 

POUR THE ALCOHOL INTO THE PAN AND AGAIN FLAT WITH YOUR FINGER

 

 

Okay, here’s the trick, because i think i made a mistake by not making trial and error first. But next time i think i’ll do this way. The reaction of the alcohol when it mix with the powder, they fuse in right away, clotting.

So… i think the best way to mix that is in small amount of alcohol  and powder, let it dry, add small amount of alcohol and powder, let it dry again, a little by little until it fill up the pan.

 

LET IT DRY AND FINISH

 

I hope this post helps you if you have broken eyeshadow and blushes. So… don’t throw them right away, it still can be fixed.

frat boy blushon by the balm
bahama mama bronzer powder by the balm for contouring

Lips:
hawaiian tropical lip balm
wardah matte lipstick – rosy pink
beautistyle matte lipstick – shyblush

ISENG DI MINGGU SIANG – TAUPE PINK EYESHADOW

Hello, hello, hello…

Gw rasa ini pertama kalinya nge-blog dalam bahasa indonesia, hahaha, *berasa kaya bahasa inggris gw cas cis cus aja* hahaha…
Campur-campur aja deh ya, hahaha…

Jadi ceritanya, di hari Minggu ini, January 12, 2014.. hujan teruuuuusss dari pagi sampai sore hari, dan terpaksa membatalkan beberapa rencana seperti sepedaan dan nyalon. Apa daya, ngga ada kerjaan di rumah juga, nyuci udah kemaren, nyapu ngepel juga udah kemaren, sekarang ngapain dong yah… nonton tv, lagi di pake dut-dut tv-nya… well, untuk yang mau tau siapa dutdut itu, dutdut adalah adikku, nama asli-nya sih Bella, tapi terbiasa manggil beldut atau dutdut, jadi.. begitulah… hehehe…

Akhir-nya jadi upik abu udah gak bisa, kita iseng aja di minggu siang ini mencoba-coba dandan, yahh, lumayanlah, kata pacar cantik hasilnya, semoga kalian yang membaca juga setuju yah, walaupun kata gw sendiri sih a little bit messy, tapi bagus juga sih, cocok buat nge-date, pinky gitu cuma harus agak lebih rapi lagi… *kritik diri sendiri*.

Nah beginilah kira-kira hasilnya, tapi maaf ya diriku tidak menyediakan tutorial, hanya hasil akhir saja camera-nya juga pakai camera tab2, pakai aplikasi camera 360, jadi kulit gw asli-nya gak se-flawless itu sih, hahaha…

Jadi, untuk menciptakan tampilan tersebut, inilah produk-produk yang diriku gunakan:

1) Eyeshadow
– Eyelid: on my eyelid, i used maybelline color tattoo shade *tough as taupe*
– Crease: on the crease, i used sleek i-divine V1. matte palette shade *pucker*
– Outer V: for the outer-V-nya i also used pucker, but also add some *sugarlite* color from the sleek palette itself.

2) Eyeliner
– For eyeliner, i used HyperSharp Liner from Maybelline, and for my inner eye part, i used MaxFactor Kohl Pencil in Black no. 020

– for the waterline, i used Maxfactor Kohl Pencil in White, i think you cannot see the color there, but yes, i was using it.

3) Eyelashes
– To give volumized eyelashes effect, i used Mascara 2000 Calorie-dramatic look from MaxFactor. LOVE LOVE LOVE this mascara so much, really works for my eyelashes which are really thin and little … thank you MaxFactor.

– Nah untuk memanjangkan bulu mata-nya diriku menggunakan Mascara Bad Gal by Benefit. Love this product also, jadi ketika menggabungkan kerja Bad Gal sama si 2000 Calorie yah, hasil-nya bulu mataku tuh baguuuuussss banget, keliatan lentik, penuh, panjang, TANPA MENGGUNAKAN FAKE LASHES. Gw juga ngga curler eyelashes gw dulu ih, lasung aja gitu pake mascara, tetep, hasilnya… LOVE IT.

4) Eyebrow
– Sebenernya alis eike sih, ngga diapa-apain, cuma dirapiin aja, disisir ke atas gitu, mana diriku kan ngga punya product eyebrow, jadinya cuma pake eyeliner hitam di kuas untuk eyebrow, terus diisi deh bagian alis yang kosong-nya… hahaha, mesti belajar lagi nih untuk eyebrow-nya.

5) Foundation
– Untuk foundie, diriku menggunakan foundie favoritku dari MaxFActor Ageless Elixir foundation+Serum shade *Caramel*, no.nya lupa nomor berapa, kalau ngga salah no. 85 deh… This foundation is my best foundie ever. SERIOUSLY.

6) Concealer
– Sebenernya sih concealer-nya ngga dipakai untuk concealer beneran, tapi lebih untuk highlight aja di hidung dan di bawah eyebrow, tapi dipakai juga di under-eye, walaupun bukan untuk concealing, karena hari ini diriku ngga bermata-panda.

7) Setting Powder
– Untuk Setting powder-nya diriku menggunakan Maxfactor translucent loose powder untuk area bawah mata dan hidung, karena tadi menggunakan concealer, dan untuk wajah-nya secara keseluruhan diriku menggunakan MaxFactor creme puff shade *Medium Beige* No. 41.

8) Contouring
– Untuk contouring-nya diriku menggunakan My all time favorite bronzing powder Bahama Mama by The Balm, matte chocolate bronzing powder, bisa juga digunakan untuk eyeshadow lho, make-nya dikit aja dulu, karena kalau kebanyakan nanti malah kecoklatan di muka, di-tap di pinggiran-nya baru deh dipulas di muka. Conturing hari ini sebenarnya tipis sekali, jadi kurang terlihat kalau meurut gw, tapi tak apa-lah. Oh iya, untuk yang mau belajar conturing, diriku belajar dari Lauren Curtis untuk ilmu contouring dan highlighting, nanti diriku sediakan deh video-nya, mungkin dibawah atau di postingan yang berbeda.

9) Blush on
– Untuk blush on, diriku menggunakan Bourjois blush on, again, this is my favorite blush-on too, nggak gatal, very pigmented color, No Parabens. Warna-nya adalah *Rose Ambre* No. 74, sebenernya gw juga punya warna lain sih, *Sienne*, tapi entah mengapa favorite nya tetap si rose ambre ini.

10) Lip Balm
– Well, actually, i rarely use lip balm, only if i’m in mood then i use it, instead of lip balm, i prefer lip butter and the ultimate product of my lip butter is THE BODY SHOP *SHEA LIP BUTTER*. I cannot change this product to other brands, seriously, i only use body shop lip butter since the 1st time i know it, it really hydrates my lips and takes care of my lips, i think i’ve been using this lip butter more than 5 years, before i had breakout lips and used other products, but it didn’t work. Really, my lips are broken, even until now, if i forget to use the lip butter for 2 weeks, well, yeah.. it will be a little bit broken, but hey, 2 weeks without any lip care products of course, anyone’s lips i think will be broken too with weather and air conditioner. So, when i found this product works for me, i haven’t changed since it. Good works The Body Shop!

Ps. My lip balm is also body shop too.

11) Lip liner, Lipstick & Lipgloss
– Lip liner-nya daku menggunakan The Body Shop shade * Clover Pink* No. 03
– Lipstick-nya menggunakan MaxFactor Color Elixir, shade *Rosewood* No. 833
– Lipgloss-nya diriku menggunakan NYX Sheer Gloss, Shade-nya lupaaa… hahaha.. udah lama banget pake, sekitar 2 tahunan, dan tetap masih jadi my favorite lip gloss. 🙂

12) Tambahan
– Sebenernya ini karena lupa nyebutin nih product di bagian eyeshadow, jadi sebenernya diriku pakai base eyeshadow untuk bagian bawah mata untuk liner-nya, jadi si pink pucker dari sleek itu ditarik juga ke bagian bawah mata, nah untuk agak terlihat, warna-nya diriku menggunakan base eyeshadow dari NYX shade *White* No. ESB01. Tapi kayanya hasil-nya ngga begitu terlihat juga yah… 😦
