“disclosure: i bought this product with my own money, i am not being paid to write my post and my opinions are honest and my own.

Hello beauty readers…

I want to review one of my eyeshadow collection and that is MAX FACTOR TRIO EYESHADOW, i have 5 pieces of them and used them like more than a year until now, each eyeshadow case contains 3 color for lighting, on the lid and for outer v. this is the eyeshadows look like:

Yes, the colors look very beautiful in the pan.
From above picture from left: tigress, over the ocean, queen bee
From below picture from left: sweet pink, precious metal.
They can be used wet or dry

Although the color looks beautiful on the pan but but i think some of them are not really pigmented and chalky and some of the colors are beautiful as on the pan. Here are the swatches (i used NYX white based eyeshadow under it) – all swatches are dry swatches:

1) Tigress

I think tigress is one of pigmented eyeshadow from the others, the colors payoff are good, the black color looks really black, and the brown color is brown with a little hint of gold, the yellow one is matte yellow.

2) Sweet pink

I bought this pink color because i think they are really pretty on the pan, and when i swatched them, yes they are really beautiful especially with the middle color (pink a little bit red or brown) and the right color (bright pink), as for the left color (nude pink??) im dissapointed because it is so chalky 😦

3) Over the ocean

Among all the colors i have in this collection i really love this one, Over the ocean is really beautiful on the pan and beautiful when applied, the colors payoff are great; three of them. The light blue is perfect for highlight, the middle color looks like navy blue and that’s really beautiful, the right blue (bright blue) is really beautiful too. Well, yes, this mini palette is one of my favorite.

4) Queen bee

I bought this queen be because of the green color, on the pan it is really beautiful… but when applied…. emm, i must say, i dont really like it, because the color is hard to show, i need to put that color like maybe 5 times until it shows on my lid, really disappointed with the green color. the others, the brown color is beautiful i think, it is more like orangey brown and the yellow is almost like the tigress with a little bit brighter.

5) Precious Metal

Honestly, im not too impressed with this colors too, i only like the black color in this mini palette, the white and silver colors are chalky and hard to blend, i need to put them like more than 5 times to get the colors i want.

So, the conclusion, my favorites from all them are Over the ocean, Tigress, and Sweet pink, Queen bee and Precious metals are just so so for me.

Price:
On Counter: Rp. 100.000,- (IDR) or around $8 in US dollars with rate ($1 = Rp. 12.500,-)

Where to find it:
In many dept. stores like Sogo, Metro, Debenhams, and Matahari

To sum up:

Pros:
1) the colors are beautiful on the pan (for someone who likes collecting eyeshadows)

2) some colors have great payoff

3) it can be used wet or dry, so you have choices; i only try dry swatches, i have tried the wet when applied on my lid and yes the colors are more show up.

4) They are pretty cheap for 3 colors in 1 mini palette.

Cons:
1) My biggest complaint is actually about the packaging, i am really really disappointed about them, it breaks easily, not travel friendly even if it is small, especially if you are the type of person who likes to bring many make up when travelling.

2) Some colors doesn’t have good color payoff.

Okay beauty readers…

I think that’s a wrap for today, i hope i can review other things soon.

Thank you.
